WHES Associates and contributors

World Hunger Education Service Associates and contributors, through their financial, moral, and intellectual support of WHES, make possible the activities of WHES, especially Hunger Notes. WHES is a registered nonprofit organization in existence since 1976. Your financial contributions are tax deductible.

You can be an Associate or make a smaller contribution.  Associate contributions are $50 or more per year.  WHES is also very grateful for smaller contributions.

Your financial support helps maintain the Hunger Notes website, support interns,  pay basic office expenses, and, through our Hunger Quiz, make contributions to organizations working to reduce world hunger.  The Hunger Notes website had  534,000 visitors in 2008 learning about world hunger and poverty.  Thanks to volunteer labor, WHES is run on  a very small budget. Expenditures in 2008 were $3898 and income was $3617. The major WHES expenses in 2008 were office and internet expenses of $2152 and, through our hunger quiz, contributions to organizations working to reduce hunger of  $1354.
